Confidence, can it be influenced up by what we wear? Power dressing has evolved since the days of relying on shoulder pads and fashion is an amazing tool to empower confidence while looking smart. Today is international women’s day which is being celebrated around the world for women’s achievements and gender equality.
One of the ladies I admire is Michelle Obama. The ivy league-educated lawyer and mother of two used forward-thinking fashion not only to communicate her ideals, but to point a larger message and define the modern woman of today. This is reflected in one of her most famous quotes “Fashion plays an important role in my confidence. My ability to do my job is really linked to how I feel about what I am wearing” Michelle Obama.
I like to wear rich and vibrant colours which lift my mood and make me feel powerful and confident. The most important secret for confidence is simply to be true to yourself and appreciate your uniqueness. This is the case for dressing as well. The key to dress with confidence is to know what looks good on you and which colours suits your complexion and hair colour. Knowing your body shape is another key factor to dressing with confidence. Feel free to show off your personal flair.
As a fashion designer I strive on creating innovative and inspiring design coupled with clothes that are comfortable and practical to wear to suit the conditions of the modern woman. My vision is motivated by the concept of empowering women with the self-confidence that comes with a new look and an individual and stylish wardrobe.
Happy International Women’s Day!!
